Bhuh Bhuvah Svah

With the dawn of the first day of the Year, I like to make a traditional start by seeking blessings from the great Almighty by chanting the vedic Gayatri Mantra from a hymn of the Rig Veda. The meaning of this highly revered mantra is "O thou existence Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we contemplate upon thy divine light. May He stimulate our intellect and bestow upon us true knowledge."
My umpteen Best Wishes and Blessings to All for 2014 !!!!!!!!!!!!
On 31st December, just hours before its time to watch the ball drop and ring in the new year, I curled up on my couch with my traditional pocket calendar in my lap. While flipping through the months and saving the dates for the upcoming events. I paused for a while. Blinked my eyes twice while having reminisces of the illuminating times of 2013 and made a vast array of resolutions for the year ahead to make it eventful and continue my quest to learn new things everyday !
A recap of the happy times of 2013 which seems to have rolled over in a breeze. The wrap up week was wonderful. Had got to spend time resting, relaxing and watching movies.
